Mark your calendars for a celebration of British maritime artistry!
From 17 September to 27 September 2025, Mall Galleries will host the Royal Society of Marine Artists’ (RSMA) 80th Annual Exhibition, showcasing outstanding contemporary works inspired by the sea – from sweeping coastal vistas to bustling harbours and ethereal seascapes. All exhibited pieces are available for purchase.
Opening Hours & Admission
Open daily from 10 am to 5 pm.
Admission is £6, with free entry for Friends of Mall Galleries and visitors under 25. Additional concessions are available, and no booking is required.

Special Artists’ Demonstrations (17–24 September)
Free with gallery admission; no booking needed. Highlights include:
- Jamie Medlin – Wednesday 17 September, 11 am–1 pm & 2 pm–4 pm: Watch his evocative interpretation of Cornwall’s light and landscape come alive.
- Andrew Hird – Thursday 18 September, 11 am–1 pm: A master at blending oils with sketches and photos to render coastal scenes.
- Roger Dellar – Thursday 18 September, two sessions: 11 am–1 pm (watercolour & white gouache) and 2 pm–4 pm (alla prima oils); ask questions and see technique in action.
